Rene Diaz has been appointed to replace Judge David Peeples in the 224th District Court of Bexar County following Judge Peeple’s recent retirement. Diaz is a graduate of the University of Virginia and obtained both his law degree and a masters in public policy from Regent University.
He has been in private practice for fourteen years. Since 2003, he has served as a Commissioner for the Texas OneStar National Service Commission, which administers the federal AmeriCorps volunteer program for the State of Texas and served as the General Counsel for Republican Party of Texas. At the time of his judicial appointment, Diaz was a partner of the defense firm Brock and Person.
